2 Roll you own Fred tins in tribute to the "pop culture" which has inspired our communication since our start. We have produced a total of only 3000 tins! It is then an ultra limited edition!. We could not resist the wink at Warhol's first lithos as the words "tomatoe" and "tobacco" as well as "soup" and "smooth" are phonetically close to each other;-) Our tobacco blend is identical to the one we made for our roll your own pouches and it is then certified 100% natural and additive free. The tins weight 80g and are airtight sealed. The taste of FRED tobacco is based on what is called « American Blend », a mix of 3 types of tobaccos: Virginia, le Burley and Oriental. Virginia tobacco comes mainly from the USA but we have also added a new type of tobacco grown in Columbia. This tobacco leaves are dried with warm air and their color is very bright (gold/orange). They provide aroma mostly in the mouth. Burley tobacco is darker with a chocolate color and add a nutty touch into the throat. It comes mainly from Europe and among all burley we have chosen, a new one coming from Portugal adds sweety notes to the flavor. Oriental tobacco leave are much smaller and very aromatic; they are dried directly under the sun. They come from Turkey and Greece.

The taste of tobacco depends on its blend, but also on the additives and flavors added by the manufacturer. We have decided right from the start not to add any artificial flavoring to our product. FRED RYO tobacco contain only high grade tobacco. It does not mean that FRED is a safer tobacco, but at least you know what you smoke &.These additional flavors are extremely influential and can allow for the taste to be manipulated so that tobacco is intense right from the first puff. We do not believe in artificial manipulation (at least for cigarettes!) - when you smoke FRED tobacco, you will notice first the smoothness, then the way the taste gradually intensifies as the tobacco rises in temperature (a bit like a cigars).. FRED tobacco does not contain any moistening agent and depending on surronding ambiant air, it can becomes a bit drier and more difficult to roll. No panic, the taste will remain the same and you only have to place your pack outside on your window overnight for the tobacco to re-gain its humidity.
